Upcoming Events/Chapter News:
With 60 chapters across the world, there are many opportunities to work with a local SCRA chapter. We have numerous members seeking to start new chapters or revitalize chapters.
Congratulations to our newest chapters in Texas, (Alamo Chapter) and Mississippi (Hospitality Chapter), we are working with members to revitalize or start new chapters in New York (West Point, and Fort Drum), Florida, Georgia (Fort Stewart), California (Fort Irwin), and Guam. Check out the list of chapters on the SCRA webpage and you can now update your membership and associate with your local chapter using the membership portion of the website.
We also began an endeavor to create a SCRA Online chapter for those not associated with a local chapter or in transit for various reasons. We are seeking leadership for the SCRA Online chapter. Please contact me if you are interested in a leadership position.
Also, we are happy to assist chapters in the various tasks of operating a local chapter. We have updated the Chapter Officer Handbook to version 2.0. We look forward to hearing from you; email us at chapters@signalcorps.org.
Chapters can provide short updates, either for this newsletter or for our social media sites of interest to their chapter and other members. Have any upcoming events or news for your chapter? Fill out the News Article Submission Form and we can share your information on your chapter page and in the next newsletter!
Membership Drives
There are no current membership drives! Each chapter is eligible to host one membership drive per calendar year. Get yours set up today!

Career Center/Corporate Partnerships:
The SCRA has a Career center on our website available for members and their family members seeking employment. You must log in to the site to get access. Check it out here at the SCRA Careers site
If your organization is interested in partnering with the SCRA, we have a Corporate Partnership program in place that allows them to get recognition and includes job postings in the SCRA Careers Center.
Depending on the level, Gold, Silver, or Bronze, they also receive some individual membership and recognition at National and Chapter events. For more info see the Corporate Partnerships Webpage
We are starting an incentive for any chapter that encourages a corporate partner to sign up, that chapter will receive a finder’s fee for their role in getting them to sign up. Share with your potential Corporate Partners the information above.

Awards:
We have a new award available for any SCRA members in good standing, it is the Mercury Medal for Achievement. In order of rank, it is below the Bronze Order of Mercury (BOM). We designed it to be presented at a lower threshold than the BOM. The award can be awarded by a Colonel of the Regiment, a Chapter President, or the National Director and Awards Committee. Please see the webpage for more information. signalcorps.org/awards/mercury-medal-of-achievement/. We have awarded over 10,000 BOMs with over 2,500 in the last five years. This is eye-opening as we only have 6,900 current SCRA members. We wanted to provide an award for teammates doing great things for the regiment, while preserving the BOM for higher level achievement. Learn about the new award and all the SCRA awards here: SCRA Awards
Year to date, we’ve presented 18 BOM awards, 1 Bronze Wahatchee, and 4 Brevet Colonel Awards to SCRA and Signal Corps Regiment contributors. We hope to continue seeing and awarding deserving members and volunteers throughout 2025! Check out all the award rosters on the website!

FAQs:
We have created and will continue adding to our FAQs page which can be found on our site homepage!
How can I update my profile? Check out the FAQ Page for our response.
The membership directory has changed to a simple search bar rather than a field search. You can view your profiles here, and make changes as needed. There is no need to log in to view your member number, update your information, renew your membership, or to search for awardees.
Additionally, these newsletters will be shared on the website! Check out past newsletters here!

Memberships:
So far in 2025, we have welcomed 192 new members, and 102 renewing members! Welcome to all our new and returning members! And thank you to all our members for your dedication to the goals and preserving the history of the Signal Corps! Membership has been up significantly in the past year, and we are delighted by our growing numbers!
Please mention these newsletters to anyone who is a member that may not have checked in recently! They may not receive our emails and need to update their contact info. Members should use a personal/commercial email address to ensure delivery, as this is the main means of communicating with our members, and what we provide to Chapter officers, if you are affiliated with a local chapter.
Are you aware that one of your membership incentives is also being a member of the Association of the United States Army (AUSA)? We provide membership information to the AUSA monthly, so if you hear from them about free membership, this is a legitimate incentive.

Museum Updates:
As a reminder, our 501(c)3 sister organization, the Signal and Cyber Museum Society (SCMS) was formed to help bring back the Signal Corps Museum to the Augusta community. If you attend an event at SCRA National or go to our Donate page on our website, this is our designated donor for contributions. If you want to learn more, check out SignalandCyberCorpsMuseum.org, or to contribute to the virtual museum, reach out to ExecDirector@FGHMS.org
If you have historical Signal Corps items that are collecting dust in storage and want to donate them to the SCMS and potentially the future museum building, reach out to us for info on how to do that. The SCMS Board of Directors is a fully separate entity from the SCRA National Board of Directors, and we are seeking some new BOD members to support that mission. If you are interested, send a note to ExecDirector@fghms.com
