SCRA Awards Program
The Signal Corps Regimental Association (SCRA) Awards Program’s purpose is to honor SCRA members, supporters, and volunteers who, through their service and active participation in the Association, have demonstrated meaningful support to the SCRA and the Signal Regiment.
The National SCRA Board of Directors has designated a National Awards Chair (Mark Powell) who oversees the National Awards Committee as the approving authority for all awards and charged it with the responsibility of maintaining the integrity of the awards program. The National Awards Committee has delegated limited approval authority to Colonels of the Regiment and Chapter Officers in some cases. The National Awards Chair retains final approval authority in all cases.
Signal Corps Regimental Association Members are eligible for:
- Mercury Medal of Achievement (MMA)
- Bronze Order of Mercury (BOM)
- Silver Order of Mercury (SOM)
- Gold Order of Mercury (GOM)
Members of Service who are NOT Signal Regimental members are eligible for:
- Brevet Colonel Award
Individuals who have voluntarily contributed in a significant service to the improvement of the Signal Corps Regimental Association and the Signal Regimental community are eligible for:
- Bronze Wahatchee
- Silver Wahatchee

Mercury Medal for Achievement Award
Mercury Medal for Achievement Award
The SCRA Mercury Medal for Achievement is awarded to recognize individuals who contribute, through their achievements, to the overall improvement, readiness, and capabilities of the Signal Corps Regimental Association, thereby improving the US Army Signal Regiment.

Bronze Order of Mercury
Recognizes those people who have demonstrated the highest standards of integrity, moral character, professional competence and selflessness, and who have contributed significantly to the promotion of the Signal Corps and the Signal Corps Regimental Association.
Silver Order of Mercury
Awarded to those select few who stand above their peers and have made conspicuous long-term significant contributions to the U.S. Army Signal Corps and the Association (SCRA). This award represents a substantially greater level of contribution over a longer period than the Bronze Order of Mercury.

Gold Order of Mercury Award
The Gold Order of Mercury Award honors any Signal Soldier who died as a direct result of injuries or illness sustained while on duty in service to the Nation. This award is presented at no cost to the family. As appropriate, the Gold Wahatchee is awarded to the service member’s spouse or parent.
Brevet Colonel Award
Brevet Colonel Award
The Brevet Colonel award intends to recognize those non-government, government civilians, or uniformed members of the armed forces, other than those of the Signal Regiment, who have made significant contributions over a period of time to the Regiment or the Association. Specifically, such individuals could be federal, state, or local government officials, military members from a different department or branch, industry partners, or community leaders deserving special recognition. The justification for this award is based primarily on their long-term relationship with the Regiment.

Recognizes individuals who have voluntarily contributed in significant service to the members of the Regiment, family members, and the Regimental community.

Recognizes individuals who have voluntarily contributed in significant long-term service to the members of the Regiment, family members, and the Regimental community
